Updating xp home to xp pro
If you have a full SP2 CD, you might try to "repair" the system back to SP2, but this is risky business, and if it fails then a reinstall will be required. It didn't update to SP3 during the time that I was there.If SP3 is in your Control Panel's "Add and Remove Programs" when "Show updates" is checked, then you can uninstall it.If not, this means that XP was installed from an SP3 boot media, so you need to follow ~quack's advice.Or will it wait until the TIME the Automatic Updates are set to ...
